Somatic Psychotherapy & Nervous System Support
Discovering pathways to more fulfilling relationships - with yourself and others
Supporting greater wellbeing
I believe that at our core, we are well and wise. Sometimes, who we truly are becomes blurred from the complexity of life. This impacts how we experience ourselves, and the world. As a result, we might feel stuck, alone or stressed. We might struggle to feel our wellbeing, to be in fulfilling relationships, or to find meaning. Stress becomes patterns in our mind, body and heart when we do not have the adequate support needed for the challenges of life.
With adequate support, we can step more fully into ourselves and our lives. We can increase our capacity to be with whatever is occurring, experience more balance in our body and nervous system, acknowledge pains of the past, connect to purpose and joy, transform with our grief, and develop skills for more fulfilling relationships - to oneself, loved ones, communities or to something greater.
Ultimately, my approach to counseling seeks to help you access your wisdom and belonging, because that is how life shifts and transformation happens.
Chloe Barrett-Page, Somatic Therapist
MA in Mental Health Counseling, Somatic Counseling: Body Psychotherapy, LPCC
As a somatic (body-based) psychotherapist, my goal is to support you in getting to the root of what brings you in to cultivate lasting transformation.
I work with individuals and couples to shift stuck patterns and experience a life aligned with your true desires. My approach is caring, direct and acknowledges the impacts of varied experiences (personal, familial, cultural, systemic, generational).
I have been in the field of holistic wellness for over a decade as a cranial sacral therapist, doula, coach, massage therapist and group facilitator prior to becoming a somatic psychotherapist.

EMDR
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapeutic approach designed to help individuals process difficult experiences. By using bilateral stimulation, this evidence-based practice facilitates the brain and body’s natural healing processes, reducing the impact of distressing memories and therefore increasing vitality and wellbeing.
Somatic Therapy
Somatic (body-based) therapy includes techniques from talk therapy that support intellectual insight while also supporting an embodied understanding of whatever is happening in a clients life. This often gets to the root of challenges, and leads to lasting transformation by working closely with the nervous system. Clients build skills that support resilience, address past pains, and learn skills for deepening well-being.
Relationship Counseling
Relationship counseling recognizes that our relationships significantly impact overall wellbeing and provides tools for healthy relating. This often requires the addressing the pains and gifts of past and present relationships (personal, familial, cultural, systemic). Through attachment theory and The Safe Harbor Method, clients shift painful patterns and establish ways of being in life giving connection.
Life is wild and messy.
Sorrows and joys arrive at our doorstep. We can often feel alone, stuck or disoriented in the process.
These moments often ask for a deepening of connection. To ourselves, each other, community, or to something greater. Yet in these moments, connection can feel hard.
I support clients in coming back into connection. To touch their true nature, no matter the circumstance. To determine the support needed to meet the moment. From here, movement happens and life shifts.
I wrote an article in the International Body Psychotherapy Journal called: Belonging to Earth: Body Psychotherapy, the Seasonal Attunement Model, and Reclaiming Our Wild. It explores the importance of our relationship to Earth and incorporates a holistic lens to counseling.
